Through Various Hazards and Adventures We Move

A site-specific art engagement with the early history of Eureka, California, created by Nick Hubbard.  Derived from 3D models, constructed using documentary photographs of Fort Humboldt, built in 1853, taking the form of a series of expanded dioramas that change over time, installed on site April 23-24, 2016. Sugar, water, corn syrup, PLA, lamb's blood, the Elk River, dirt, moss, craft paper, history.

Software: Sketchup, Maya, Zbrush, Adobe Photoshop, Makerware, Pepakura, Cricut Craft Room. 

Tools: Makerbot Replicator 3D Printers, Cricut Expression 2, Smooth-Sil 940 food-safe molds.
